Shirley M. (Boucher) Cloutier, 71, of Worcester, died, Sunday, June 1, 2008, in her home, with her family beside her.

   She leaves her devoted husband of 49 years, Rene A. Cloutier; a daughter, Iris Brooks Martinez of Worcester; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Shirley was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Aldor and Amanda (Christman) Boucher and has been a native to Worcester all her life. She was a librarian for the Worcester Public Library for 32 years. She loved to garden and spend time with her family.

   Shirley’s funeral will be held Wednesday, June 4th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Saint John’s Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 3rd in the funeral home.
