Sadie H. (Elbag) Stewart, 73, a resident of The Woods at Eddy Pond and formerly of Rochdale St., was stricken and died Monday, February 7, 2005 in the UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester.

She leaves her son, Glenn J. Stewart of Auburn; her brother, Thomas Elbag of Worcester; her sister, Phyllis Merhib of Wellesley. She was predeceased by her brother, Herbert Elbag of Oxford.

Sadie was born in Watertown, a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Thomasian) Elbag and has lived in Auburn for many years.

Prior to her retirement, Sadie worked for Telecron for 16 years as assembler and technician.

She was a former member and volunteer at the First Congregational Church in Auburn.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, February 11th from 2-4 PM at Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. A prayer service will be held at 4 PM.

Flowers, but at Sadie’s request, no lilies, because they reminded her of death, may be sent or memorial contributions made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
