Subscription Update Obituary

     Ruthanne G. (Berthiaume) Epstein, 54, of Fort Hill Road, passed away in her home on Monday, February 11, 2019, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jon S. Epstein of Oxford; three children, Tara A. Augustynski of Webster, Amanda L. Konkol and her husband Travis of Charlton, and Jon D. Epstein of Attleboro; her brother, Arthur H. Berthiaume Jr. of Norfolk; her sister, Gloria Bryand of New Ipswich, NH; three grandchildren, Kaylee Augustynski, Charlie Augustynski, and Colton Konkol; many nephews, nieces, cousins, and her best friend Theresa Coffey. She was predeceased by three brothers, Carl Berthiaume, George Berthiaume, and John “Jack” Berthiaume. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Arthur H. and Ruth (Ferguson) Berthiaume, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1996. She graduated from South High School in Worcester.

Mrs. Epstein worked for Eddington Thread Company in Worcester many years ago. She spent most of her life babysitting for her family and friends. She was an avid fan of the Patriots and the Red Sox. She enjoyed going to the beach, camping, trips to Foxwoods, and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a person with a heart of gold who would do anything for anyone.

The family would like to thank Central Mass. Hospice and the nurses and caregivers at 2 Lakeside ICU at UMass, for the exceptional care given to Ruthanne during her illness.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019, at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Those attending are respectfully requested to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, February 14, 2019, from 4-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1661 Worcester Rd., Suite 301, Framingham, MA 01701.
