Subscription Update Obituary

Ruth F. (Fiske) DeLuca, 80, of Worcester, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024. She was the beloved wife of 43 years to the late, Ralph P. DeLuca.

Born August 9, 1944, in Worcester to the late, Carl and Barbara (Griffin) Fiske. Being with family was what she loved most. Family outings of beach trips, weekend camping, lighthouses, and eating lobster. She traveled to Hawaii, Alaska, Rio, California, and Maine with loved ones. Ruth’s one solo adventure was to the Grand Canyon.

Ruth is survived by her loving children, John DeLuca and his wife Charleen of Worcester, Ralph DeLuca and his wife Vicki of Loris, SC, Jeffrey DeLuca and his wife Barbara of Fitzwilliam, NH, and Amy DeLuca of Agawam; her adored eight grandchildren, two of whom they were privileged to raise, Rebecca, Derek, Stacey, Amanda, Nicole, Benjamin, Anthony, and Lindsey; her 3 step grandchildren, Greg, Melissa, and Jeremy; twelve great-grandchildren that always put a smile on her face; her cherished siblings, Carol, Jo, and Eddie; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Ruth on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 11:00am at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood Street, Worcester. Interment will immediately follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s memory to Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood Street, Worcester, MA 01607.
