Subscription Update Obituary

Russell N. Ford, 84, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 in the Radius Healthcare Center, Southbridge, after a long illness.

He leaves his wife of 60 years, Jeanne A. (Hebert) Ford; three sons, Glenn Ford of Eastford, CT, David Ford of Thompson, CT, and Scott Ford of Southbridge; six daughters, Deborah Morrison of Southbridge, Paula Addington of Hereford, AZ, Sandra Benoit of Southbridge, Susan Robidas of Thompson, CT, Jane Lefebvre of Huntingdon, Que., Canada, and Lynn Hollingworth of Auburn; a brother, Roger Ford of Southbridge; nine sisters, Ida Czyzewski of Southbridge, Dorothy Theodoss of Southbridge, Rita Renaud of Charlton, Leona Cournoyer of Brookfield, Lorraine Pelletier of Ocala, FL, Doris Vaillancourt of Ocala, FL, Shirley Simpson of Southfield, MI, Ruth L. Farraher of Charlton and Beatrice Budrow of Webster; 23 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, William Ford and Donald Ford and two sisters, Mildred Stanhope and Thelma Lamoureux.

He was born in Southbridge, the son of Wilfred and Rose M. (Girard) Ford. He lived most of his life in Southbridge and moved to Maine 16 years ago and recently returned to Southbridge. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Russell worked for A & M Tool & Die in Southbridge for 25 years before retiring many years ago. He previously worked for his brother William’s business, Bill’s Delivery Service.

He was an active member of the Living Waters Assembly of God Church in Farmington, ME. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Southbridge. He coached both Little League and Babe Ruth League Baseball in Southbridge. He enjoyed golf, fishing and singing Christian Hymns.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 11th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours.

The Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, is directing arrangements.
