Roger L. Godin, 89, of Howe Village, died Friday, June 9th. in Southbridge Rehab & Healthcare Center.

He leaves his wife of 62 years, Mary A. (LeBoeuf) Godin, his son; Kevin Godin and his partner Cynthia Bunch of Alto, TX., his daughter; Jacqueline Sauvageau and her husband Richard of Ware; his sisters; Gloria Soderblom and her husband Robert and Gladys Salatka and her husband Albert all of Worcester, a sister in law; Dorothy Godin of Webster, 5 grandchildren; Kara Ketchum of AZ, Richard Sauvageau Jr. of Spencer, Kevin Godin Jr.,Senji Tripp of AZ., and Jovin Godin, 6 great grandchildren; Blake & Joseph Sauvageau, Gavin & Greyson Ketchum, Kyra Godin & Carter Tripp and Leila Godin, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers; Edward, Lawrence and Rene and a sister Shirley.

Roger was a set-up man at Worcester Press Aluminum Co. in Worcester for 20 years, retiring in 1989.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Joseph and Blandine (Marquis) Godin and later served his country with the US Army during the Korean War. Private services with Military Honors will be held in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spencer Rescue Squad, 6 Bixby Rd., Spencer, MA. 01562. The J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer is directing arrangements for the family.
