Subscription Update Obituary

Roger J. LaBelle, 68, of Spencer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021 in UMass Memorial Health at Harrington.

Roger was born in Biddeford, ME son of the late Alfred J. and Pauline B. (Lefebvre) Labelle. Mr. LaBelle was one of 16 children and is survived by 4 brothers, Paul, Alfred Jr. and Nelson LaBelle all of Spencer and Gerard Dupuis of Millbury; 3 sisters, Mary Murray of Charlton City, Cecelia Shenette of Spencer and Nancy Carpenter of Leicester; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is predeceased by 7 brothers and a sister.

Roger graduated from David Prouty High School and worked for the former Himmer Ambulance Company as a patient transport driver and previously worked with Spencer Fire and Rescue.

Mr. LaBelle enjoyed fishing and playing cards, however he was truly the happiest when he was with his family both here and in Maine. He always looked forward to spending time with them and he would always stop by for a cup of coffee and something freshly baked.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11 AM in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Church 7 Church St. Spencer (Please go directly to church). Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 5 from 5 to 7 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St., Worcester. Memorial contributions in memory of Roger may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter 111 Young Rd. East Brookfield, MA 01515.
