Subscription Update Obituary

     Robert O. Peterson, 87, of Leicester and Overlook Masonic Home in Charlton, died Tuesday, Feb. 12th 2019 after an illness.

His wife of 60 years, Patricia A. (Durant) Peterson died in 2018. He leaves his sons, Steven R. Peterson and his wife Julie of Charleston, SC, and Scot D. Peterson and his wife Christine of Spencer, his sister Vivian Mattson and her husband Richard of Mendon; 5 grandchildren, Chelsea, Nicolas, Janel, Hailey and Hanna Peterson, nieces and nephews.

Bob was a longtime commercial printer for Commonwealth Press and later Paul Revere Insurance Co. in Worcester before retiring in the 1990’s.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of Einar and Karin (Hellberg) Peterson and later served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and the Leicester-Spencer Fraternal Order of Eagles.

The family would like to acknowledge the caring staff at the Post Acute Unit at Overlook Masonic Home for their exceptional and compassionate care of their father.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 10:30 a.m. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. A calling hour will precede the services from 9:30 to 10:30. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN., 38105.
