AUBURN – Robert G. Dudley, 85, a long time Auburn resident died peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. He was born in Worcester, the son of Ralph H. and Sarah (Boudro) Dudley.
Robert graduated from Worcester Boy’s Trade School and went on to work for the Auburn Highway Department for over 30 years. He married his one true love, the late Betty A. (Simpson), with whom he shared 47 years of marriage. Robert and Betty were members of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Holden for many years and leave an assembly of friends there. Robert had a love for model trains and enjoyed meticulously constructing miniature environments for his train tracks. He always knew what materials would make the most realistic miniature trees, hills, mountains and wildlife. Above all he was dedicated to his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, even if that meant challenging them to a game of Mario Brothers.
Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife, Betty A. (Simpson) Dudley in 2007. He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his daughter, Kim Ann Krumbiegel and her husband, Robert of Holden; his granddaughter, Kristen Krumbiegel; and his grandson, Joshua Krumbiegel. He was predeceased by his brother, Ralph Dudley Jr.
Funeral Services are private and under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Foundation, https://americanstroke.org/, 6405 Metcalf Avenue, Suite 214, Overland Park, KS 66202.
