Robert F. Wall, 90, of Spencer, died Wednesday, Jan. 29th in UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester after a brief illness.
He leaves his wife of 65 years, Joyce A. (Santimore) Wall, his son; Sean M. Wall and his wife Kathy of West Boylston, his daughters; Maureen F. Bonardi and her husband Daniel of Spencer and Kelley A. Baron of Oxford along with her partner Mark Jolin, his brother; Thomas Wall of Douglas and his sister; Mae Pogorek of Worcester, 10 grandchildren; Kristine, Patrick, Michael, Brendan, Jack, Bridget, Ryan, Courtney, Jillian and Seth, 2 great granddaughters; Addison and Amelia, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers; James, Edward and William Wall.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of John and Mary (Loftus) Wall and later graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. He later served his country with the US Navy during the Korean War.
Bob was a licensed plumber and owner of R.F. Wall Plumbing & Heating in Spencer for more than 40 years, retiring in 1996. He also was the Plumbing Inspector for the Town of Spencer from 1965-2024.
He was a member of the Gaudette-Kirk Post 138 American Legion in Spencer, Leicester Senior Center, and the Leicester Knights of Columbus 4528. He was an avid golfer and member of Leicester Country Club. Along with his wife, they enjoyed trips to the casino, bowling and travelling.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 4th at 11 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. A calling period from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday will precede the services. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Leicester Senior Center, 40 Winslow Ave., Leicester, MA 01524 or Veterans, Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
