Richard T. “Dick” Cassidy, aged 85, of Worcester, passed away June 6, 2021, after a stoic battle with declining health. Born in Malden MA, Dick was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a skilled machinist who worked many years for the Worcester Foundation. Dick was known for his skills at cribbage, the large family meals he prepared and his generosity. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Rita B (Gaudette) Cassidy, son Shawn, and brother in law and best friend, Norman Gaudette.

He is survived by his sons Dan and Doug of Worcester, Tim (Linda) of Northborough, and Dennis (Susan) of New Jersey. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Sara, Kimberly, Ryan, and Connor Cassidy, his little cat, Lucy2, and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Thursday June 10, 2021 with a service at 10:00 AM in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, Calling hours in the funeral home are Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
