Subscription Update Obituary

Richard E. Gould, 72 years old of Lunenburg, died Sunday, November 14, 2021 at his home.

Richard was born September 7, 1949 in Worcester, MA, the son of Robert Gould and Doris (Rockwood) Fant, and came to Lunenburg many years ago. He leaves his loving wife Linda (Hardy) Gould of Lunenburg, son Jeffrey Gould and his wife Tara of Millbury, his sister Dorothy Granger of Millbury, 2 grandsons, Joshua and Jacob Gould, step daughters Lisa, Nicolle and Jill, as well as loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his daughter Jennifer Gould in 1997, and his brother Gary Gould in 2000.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S Army Reserves and spent the earlier part of his life working as a welder and metal fabricator in the steel industry. Richard transitioned from industry to become a welding instructor at Monty Tech, teaching students for over 21 years, retiring in 2009. He was a long-standing member of the Harley Owners Group in Leominster, and the Mass. Teachers’ Association. Rich enjoyed traveling the country on his motorcycle and then later with Linda in their camper. Rich was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing the guitar, helping loved ones with all sorts of projects, and watching his beloved Patriots.

A funeral service for Richard will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 10 am in the Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St. Leominster. Burial will follow in Worcester Memorial Park in Paxton MA. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday, November 19, 2021 from 4~ 6 pm.
