Subscription Update Obituary

     Regina Miriam (O’Hearn) MacDonald, 92, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at UMass Memorial Healthcare – University Campus after an illness. She was born in Medford the daughter of John J. and Miriam R. (Larkin) O’Hearn and also lived in New Jersey, Aurora, Illinois, and spent 32 years in Holden.

She was a graduate of Medford High School and later studied “voice” in Boston. She was a member of St. George’s Church and will be fondly remembered for her kind and loving nature.

Her beloved husband of 64 years, John L. MacDonald, passed away in 2013. She leaves four sons, John “Fredo” L. MacDonald of San Antonio, Texas, Paul E. MacDonald and his wife, Mary of Oswego, Illinois, Andrew J. MacDonald and his wife, Joan of Plano, Illinois, Christopher J. MacDonald and his wife, Maureen of Spencer; two sisters, Margaret McCarthy of Medford and Barbara Lapore of Arlington; three granddaughters, Yvonne MacDonald-Hames, Jessica and Kara MacDonald; and two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Tiffany. A brother, Edward O’Hearn and two sisters, Elizabeth King and Faith Belluche predeceased her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, at St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
