Subscription Update Obituary

Regina M. (Chauvin) Barnicle, 75, of Worcester, died Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the UMass-Memorial Medical Center.

She leaves two children, Marc Copely and his wife Kirsten Agresta-Copely of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Matthew Barnicle of Damascus, Oregon; her longtime companion Frank Burns of Worcester and his daughter Donna Burns; her sister Barbara Delorto of Worcester; her brother Joseph Chauvin of Gilbertville, Mass.; her former husband Gerald Barnicle of Bradenton, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Doris Scott.

Regina was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Ida (Jarvis) Chauvin and lived most of her life in Worcester. She was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School.

Regina worked at the former Worcester County National Bank, Alexander & Alexander Insurance Co., and was later a substitute teacher at the Worcester Vocational Technical High School for many years.

Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, are Tuesday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to noon. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at noon. Burial will be private. Proof of vaccination or negative Covid test and masks are required at the calling hours and service.
