Rachael A. Hamilton, 80 of Jupiter, FL formerly of Auburn passed away Friday, July 1, 2022, in Wellington Regional Medical Center. She was stricken with Parkinson’s Syndrome for the last few years. Despite the limitations, she carried on and enjoyed life with the perseverance and strength she has shown throughout her life time. She is predeceased by her first husband, Richard A. Verdolino who passed away in 1997 and her second husband, Alvin Hamilton passed away in 2019.
Rachael was born Worcester, Massachusetts on September 3, 1941, the daughter of the late Albert & Maria (Lorusso) Carilo. She had lived in Auburn for most of her life, moving to Jupiter, Florida in 2000. She graduated from Commerce High School, worked for Data General for 20 years, followed by 17 years at Palm Beach Diabetes, in West Palm Beach, before retiring. She made many friends along the way. She enjoyed her latter years traveling the world.
She is survived by her daughter, Robenmarie Benjamin and her husband Arthur of Jupiter, FL and her son, Marc Verdolino and his wife Michelle of Charlton, MA; five grandchildren, Cole and his wife Jayna Benjamin of Cary, NC, Drew Benjamin of Raleigh, NC, Bianca, Christopher and Gianna Verdolino; a great grandchild, Ella Benjamin; two brothers, Michael Carilo and his wife Judith of Palm Desert, CA and Albert Carilo, Jr. and his wife Jackie of Friendship, WI and many nieces and nephews.
A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral service to begin immediately at 11:00 am in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow to Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, MA. A reception for family and friends will immediately follow the internment at Bay State Brewery & Tap, 112 Harding St, Worcester, MA.
