Worcester- Phillip A. Petit, 66, of Worcester died Tuesday in St. Vincent Hospital after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 44 Years, Marie A. (Maloney) Petit; a son, David W. Petit of Worcester; Two brothers, Richard D. Petit of Auburn and Allen E. Petit of Worcester, Two sisters, Barbara L. Sinkis of North Oxford and Shirley A. Sinkis of Worcester; two grandsons; several nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, Son of Archie A. and Lois (Hartley) Petit, And lived in Worcester most of his life. He served in the Coast Guard during the Korean War.
Mr. Petit was a machinist for United Tool Company for 10 years before he retired in 1994. Previously, he worked for Crompton Knowles Company and the Warner Swasey Company, Both in Worcester. He was a member of the Grafton Hill American Legion .
The Funeral service will be at 9:30a.m. Saturday in the Britton-Wallace Funeral home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 2 to 4 today and 7 to 9 tonight in the Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Providence House Extended Care facility, 119 Providence St, Worcester 01604
