Peter Mancuso Sr., 63, of 84 West Mountain St., Worcester, passed into the hands of our Lord on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 in the Holy Trinity Nursing Center after a brief battle with cancer. His wife, Mary Jane (Sage) Healy-Mancuso died March 6, 2004.
Peter is survived by a daughter, Gail S. Patterson and her husband Arthur of Shrewsbury; a son, Peter Mancuso Jr. of Oxford; two grandsons, Nick and Jeff Mancuso; and two sisters, Rose Hodges and her husband James of Olympia, WA and Carmella DiPilato and her husband Joseph of West Boylston; also a brother, Anthony Mancuso and his wife Barbara of Worcester; and a step-son, James Healy and his family of Worcester; nieces and nephews.
Peter was born in Worcester, son of Anthony and Corinne (Titta) Mancuso and lived here all his life. Peter worked for C&S Grocers for 18 years, and also for Chemical Sales Company of Worcester where he retired from. Peter was a long time active member of the Teamsters Local 170, and took office as a Business Agent in the early 1990's.
Peter was an active member of Christ Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, and trustee, and also enjoyed singing in the choir. Peter was a former member of The Fraternal Order Of Eagles, and the Brown Square Civic Club.
Peter's funeral will be held Friday, September 29, at 10:00 AM in Christ Baptist Church, 24 Granby Rd. Calling hours in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. are 4-8 PM on Thursday, September 28th. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
