Subscription Update Obituary

Paul T. Babin, 89, of Worcester passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 in St. Vincent Hospital, 123 Summer St. His wife of 67 years, Sandra (Fantasia) Babin died in 2023. He is survived by his children, Paul T. Babin Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Ludlow, David E. Babin and his wife Adrianna and daughter Theresa R. Babin, all of Worcester; seven grandchildren, David A. Babin and his wife, Elizabeth (Hernandez) Babin, Brandy L. (Babin) Berube and her husband, Jacob A. Berube, Samantha Babin, Nicholas Babin, Gregory Babin and his wife Shelby (Van Hyfte) Babin, Thamires, and Victor. And four great grandsons, Corey Berube, David A. Babin Jr., Brayden Berube and Paul R. Babin. He was born in Worcester, son of Edmund U. Babin and Nellie (Paskavitz) Babin.

Mr. Babin graduated from St Joseph School and Boys Trade schools and received his bachelor’s degree from Fitchburg State University. He retired from Worcester Vocational and Technical High School teaching electrical and math. In addition, Paul was an adjunct professor at Northeastern University. He was part owner of Tier One Electrical LLC, in charge of electrical calculations and design.

Mr. Babin was an Army veteran serving during the Korean and Vietnam era. He completed the remainder of his career in the Air Force Reserve and was activated during Desert Storm and retired after a combined 42 years of honorable service as a Senior Master Sergeant. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Grafton St. A burial with military honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family with arrangements.
