Subscription Update Obituary

Paul R. Couture, Sr., 69, of Worcester died Monday September 12, 2011 in his home.

He leaves his wife of 48 years, Joyce (Shays) Adams Couture, his children, George Adams and his wife, Janine, Karen (Adams) Tetreault and her husband Mark and Paul R. Couture, Jr., and his wife Brenda, all of Worcester; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five step grandchildren, seven step great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard V. Couture and David G. “Butch” Couture; three sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Barch, Ruth Thibeault and Carol “Judy” Martin and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a grandson, Kevin Tetreault and three sisters, Marie Shays, Barbara LeBeau and Jean St. Germain. Paul was born in Worcester, a son of Alfred and Ruth (Peterson) Couture and lived here all his life.

Mr. Couture was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a machinist many years for Form Roll Die Co. before he retired. Previously he was a mattress maker for Worcester Bedding Co. He enjoyed playing the guitar and played in several bands including The Elements and The Silvertones.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 17 at 10: 00 A.M. in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday, September 16 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
