Paul E. Favreau, age 84 of Lakeville, passed away unexpectedly Monday January 4, 2021. Born in Worcester he was the son of the late Henry H. & Alice (Shaughnessy) Favreau. Paul was a proud United States Marine and had served on the Worcester Police Department for many years before retiring in 1996. He spoke fondly of warm summer days swimming in Lake Quinsigamond as a young boy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Paul had a terrific sense and was a gifted prankster and practical joker. He loved talk radio, pastries, fresh tomatoes, and good walking sticks. He preferred to live simply and gave generously of everything he had. Paul was a great listener and loved telling stories about his time on the police force. He was a gifted stick figure artist and author of silly limericks. He made the best French toast.

Paul’s life embodied the United States Marine Corps motto, Semper Fidelis, which translates to “Always Faithful”. He was an exceptionally faithful and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, “Uncle Bingo”, and friend. He leaves behind a deep and enduring legacy of loyalty and kindness that will live on through all who knew him.

Paul was predeceased by his brother, John Favreau, two sisters, Elaine Petrone and Mary “Jean” Fusaro, dear friend and lifelong companion, Marilyn Smith. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Maureen Fisher of Webster, MA, a sister Christine Lowe of Sterling, MA, two grandchildren, Michael and Kristy, two great-grandchildren, Maizie and Brock, and many nieces and nephews.

Paul will be deeply missed by “his girls”, Laurie, Amy, and Beth, who he raised as his own when their father Alfred passed away in 1987. Paul was Alfred’s best friend and stepped in as a loving and devoted father by every measure. Without question, Alfred would have been very proud.

A memorial service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held on Thursday January 21, 2021 at 11:00AM at the Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue Paxton, MA 01612. In lieu of flowers donations in Paul’s name may be sent to the Worcester Police Department Relief, 911 Lincoln Square Worcester, MA 01608.
