She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Bernard and Catherine (Graves) Laramie and lived in Leicester and Worcester before moving to Sterling two years ago to be closer to her daughter and granddaughters.
Patricia grew up in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School. She married the love of her life, James Dalzell with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. Patricia devoted her life to her family and caring for their home. She had been a member of Greendale People’s Church for many years and enjoyed spending much of her time with her granddaughters Jennifer and Jamie and her life-long friends. She also enjoyed traveling, shopping, playing cards and making new friends at the Sterling Senior Center. She was a fun, positive and thoughtful person that always saw the good in people.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Elloian and her husband, Arthur of Charlton; Dorothy Bentley and her husband, Daniel of Sterling; her sister, Joan Orsi and her husband, Richard of Spencer; seven grandchildren, Jennifer and Jamie Bentley; Jill, Lynne and Jonathan Dalzell; and Kimberly and Jeffrey Elloian; as well as several great grandchildren. Patricia is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including Christine Davolio, Anita Orsi and Cindy Ide, her cousin Andy Waldron and his wife Jackie, and her sister-in-law Shirley Wyman. Patricia was predeceased by her husband James Dalzell, son James Dalzell, Jr. and her brothers, George Laramie and Bernard “Bernie” Laramie, Jr. Jamie, a nurse practitioner, took exceptional care of her grandmother and was the primary caregiver for her during her illness. Jamie was helped by both Dorothy and Jennifer.
Funeral services are private and under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling.
