Subscription Update Obituary

     Patricia A. (Carroll) Greenlaw, age 79, of Worcester, passed away Sunday, August 12th in her home surrounded by her loving family. Pat is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Jack M. Greenlaw; their three children, a son, John M. Greenlaw and his wife Diane of Sutton; two daughters, Dr. Sandra Greenlaw of Leominster and Patrice McManus and her husband Richard, and two grandchildren, Jack and Kayla McManus of Alexandria, VA. She also leaves two brothers, Francis R. Carroll of Worcester and Thomas J. Carroll of San Diego, CA; three sisters, Joan Lamarche of Worcester, Nancy Glassick and Barbara Emerson of San Diego, CA; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, C. Joseph Carroll of San Diego, CA.
     Patricia Greenlaw was born in Worcester, MA. She was C.F.O. of Carroll Enterprises, Inc. until she retired in 1997. Since her retirement, she continued as a consultant for Carroll Enterprises in corporate matters and secretary to the board of directors. During her career, she was the first woman in Worcester to serve on the Board of Trustees of Worcester State University from 1982 to 1992 on the finance, administrative, and personnel committees. She also served on the board of trustees for Training Resources of America, Inc., formerly Mass. Job Training. She was a frequent panelist and speaker at seminars, colleges, and women’s network groups on topics ranging from Women in Management and Business to Career Development. Mrs. Greenlaw participated in campaigns for the Easter Seal Society, American Cancer Society, Heart Fund, Bishop’s Fund, and others. She was an active member of St. Christopher’s Church where she served as a lector, a Eucharistic Minister, and other parish committees. In earlier years, she was a CCD teacher and was a member of the choir.
     Patricia was a devoted wife and mother who always put her family first. She loved getting together for family dinners and large family gatherings. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, and enjoyed many interests including art, history, shopping, and especially her two grandchildren and all of their activities and adventures. She will be greatly missed by us all.
     The funeral is Thursday, August 16th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10 A.M. in St. Christopher’s Church, 950 West Boylston Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday, August 15th from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
