Subscription Update Obituary

    Norman E. Hickey, 78, died Saturday, May 30, 2009. He leaves his wife of 53 years, Florence (Hough) Hickey; two sons, Richard of Spencer & Brian of Beeville, TX; two daughters, Nancy Bowren of Troy, NH & Susan Hickey of Spencer; a brother, Eugene of Spencer and a sister, Avis Tretheway of Spencer; 5 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two brothers, John & Vincent and a sister, Verna Farraher.

    Norman was born in Brookfield the son of the late John & Esther (Greene) Hickey. He was a US Marine Corp Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. Norman worked for 38 years at Quabaug Rubber Corp. in North Brookfield as a forklift operator until he retired. He enjoyed camping, hiking & fishing.

    The funeral for Norman will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 44 Gilbert St., North Brookfield. A calling hour will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial with full military honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
