Subscription Update Obituary

Norman B. Army, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 13, 2022 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center , University Campus. He leaves his wife Ethel (Bjorklund) Army; 2 daughters- Darlene James and her husband Robert of Auburn and Tammy Jo Caribo and her husband Michael of Worcester; 2 sons- Robert Sund and his wife Theresa of Auburn and Lawrence Sund of TX; 10 grandchildren- Amanda, Paul, Nicole, Kayla, Cheyenne, Cassandra, Isabella, Paul, Christopher, and Mathew; 2 great grandchildren- Jackson and Maelina; and a sister- Norma J. Duhamel of Florida.

Norman was born in Millbury, son of the late William and Irene (Maynard) Army. He graduated from Millbury High School in 1955 and worked for Ruskine Market in Millbury throughout high school. He worked for Jamesbury Corp. for many years until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worcester and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a member of the Greendale Men’s Club, The Auburn Sportsman’s Club, and the New England Fly Ties Association.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 Noon in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park , Paxton. Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations in Norman ‘s memory may be made to the Perkins School for the Blind
