Subscription Update Obituary

     Myrle Augusta (Grutzmacher) Harriman, age 86, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Quaboag Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield. Myrle was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 9, 1935, daughter of the late Arleigh and Catherine (Lohrman) Grutzmacher. She was raised and educated in Chicago and was a 1953 graduate of Lakeview High School. Myrle was employed as a nurses aide for over 30 years at the former Union Hospital in Lynn, Massachusetts. She resided in Peabody for many years, prior to living in West Brookfield for 21 years. Myrle was the loving wife of the late Owen W. Harriman, who passed away in 2005. She is survived by her loving children; Richard Harriman, Mary O’Brien, Gail Meniates, Lois Harriman, Susan Harriman and Tina Krygowski. Myrle leaves behind her grandchildren; James Meniates, Paul Meniates, Katy Hooper, Danielle Carr, Brad Harriman, John Kingston, Michael Olsen, Daniel Olsen, Christine Olsen, Katie Krygowski, Owen Mullarkey, Kelly O’Brien and Timothy O’Brien. Five Great-Grandchildren, her siblings, Robert Grutzmacher, Louise Springett, Arlyce Williams and Joanne Anderson. Myrle was pre-deceased by her brother, Kenny Grutzmacher. A Calling Period will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 6 pm – 7:30 pm, in the Cebula Funeral Home Chapel. A Family Remembrance Service will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 10 AM in the Cebula Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Masks or face coverings are encouraged, but not required while inside the funeral home.
