Mildred M. “Mimi” (Violante) Ritchotte, 53, of Worcester died Monday, January 5, 2015 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home with her loving family by her side. She leaves her husband of 31 years, James M. Ritchotte and their three sons, Mark D., Derek J. and Jared J. Ritchotte, all of Worcester. She also leaves her brother, Raymond Violante of Worcester, her sister Beverly Rowlett of Worcester; and several nephews and nieces. A brother, Ronald Violante predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Dominic and Eva (Grasseschi) Violante and graduated from David Hale Fanning High School. Mimi worked at St. Vincent Hospital for several years prior to staying home to raise her family, and in later years she worked as a crossing guard at Gates Lane School. Staying home to raise her boys was most important to Mimi and she was always so proud when she watched them play sports. Mimi was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. She was a New York Yankees fan and she loved their family vacations at Hampton Beach where they would float on their boogie boards.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 10 from CALLAHAN~FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, with a Mass at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours for Mimi will be held on Friday, January 9 from 5-8 pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, MA 01602.
