Matti F. Jameson, 76, of Holden, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 23, 2017. He was born in Vinalhaven, Maine, the son of Matti and Flora (Columb) Jameson and had lived most of his life in Holden.

He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his sister, Rosanne Gonyer of Brooklyn, CT; his brother, Jack Jameson and his wife, Sally of Oakham; several nieces and nephews; and his loyal and faithful friend, Neil E. Kauppila of Holden, who cared for him during so many difficult times. He was predeceased by his brothers, Paul Jameson and Eddie Jameson.

Matti worked for several area businesses in Worcester County including Sims, ECC, Holden Rubbish, Raymond Concrete, CAPA, Rutland Nurseries and Arello.

A private committal service for Matti will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Matti’s name may be made to the Holden Firefighter’s Association, P.O. Box 190, Holden, MA 01520.  Arrangements are under the care of the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
