Mathew K. Cancel, 29, transitioned on Monday, June 20, 2022.

He was born in Worcester and graduated from Burncoat High School. Matthew continued his education at Quinsigamond Community College then transferred to Bentley University where he earned his BA in Business Sciences. Matthew worked as a Business Development Manager in the Sales Industry. This is where his talents and passion allowed him to excel.

He is survived by his mother, Maria (Mejia) Wentworth and husband Randall and brother Devante; his father, Keith Cancel and wife Amy (Lui) and youngest brother, Brayson; his grandmother Mildred Mejia and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Matthew was an avid fan of basketball, he loved watching movies. He loved listening to music and would deeply understand the lyrics and the meaning behind the melody. His most favorite pastime was being engaged with family and friends, either playing games, eating, having deep conversations about life, career and future aspirations.

He was always the one that could light up the room with just a smile, his sense of humor was always on point and his laughter infectious. He was devoted to his family and friends while always being there to provide support when needed. Matthew was full of life and his future was brighter than a super nova. He is and forever will be apart of our hearts and lives and for that we are most grateful. We know he will succeed in his new divine chosen mission while guiding us from above, his memory and energy will live on forever.

Visiting Hours to Celebrate Matthew’s life will be held Saturday, June 25th from 3:30pm until 5:30pm at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.
