Matthew J. Thorpe, 37, died suddenly February 22, at home.

He leaves his mother Kerry E. (Page) Thorpe of Cape Coral, Fla. and his father Alan F. Thorpe of Worcester.  His brother Christopher Thorpe passed away in 2017.  He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and his special friend, his cat Kitty.

Matt was born July 10, 1986 and raised in Worcester.  He moved to Florida in 2007 and returned to Worcester in 2018.  He was a graduate of the Worcester Vocational High School, now Worcester Technical High School, with a concentration in sheet metal work.

Matt enjoyed working for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier.

One of his favorite pastimes was online gaming.  He was always fascinated by new technologies, from computers to any kind of electronic gadgets.  He also enjoyed riding his e-bike in his neighborhood and local parks.

Matthew was a loving caring son who will be painfully and immensely missed by all who knew and loved him.  Funeral services and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park were private
