Mary V. (Rasku) Pelton, age 86, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 4th at the Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Worcester.

Born in Worcester and raised in Rutland, Mary was the daughter of W. Arthur and I. Mary (Gedenberg) Rasku. Mary was a member of the first graduating class of Wachusett Regional High School in 1955. She worked for many years as a clerk in the insurance industry, later working as a teller/secretary at the West Barnstable Country National Bank. She was a member of the Laestadian Lutheran Church in West Barnstable, and Worcester area.

Mary will be lovingly missed and remembered by her sisters, Evelyn Ramos and her husband, Gary of Michigan, and Lois Chinigo of North Oxford; her brothers, William Rasku and his wife, Lisa of Worcester, and Paul Rasku and his wife, Valma of Washington; and her many treasured nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Pelton in 2002, and by her brother, Michael Rasku in 2006.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Worcester, where Mary was a resident of the Rest Home. Mary received much loving care, and they were very kind to her family.

A burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date, yet to be determined.
