Subscription Update Obituary

Mary E. (Reynolds) Barry, 85, of Rochdale, MA., passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2022 with her loving family by her side.

Mary was born on March 4, 1937 in Worcester, a daughter of the late Carl B. and Deborah A. (Moriarty) Reynolds and where she was a graduate of Worcester Schools.  Mary worked for many years for the City of Worcester School Department in the cafeteria before retiring.  She was a member of St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church in Leicester.

Mary was an avid Red Sox Fan, and her lifelong dream came true in 2004.

Mary’s husband, Richard J. Barry passed away in 1997.  She is survived by two sons, Michael Barry and his wife Dawn of Charlotte, ME and Kevin Barry and his wife Laura of Somers, NY; four daughters, Debbie Smith and her husband Gary of Dover, NH., Mary Bisco and her husband Bob of Leicester, Patricia Warren and her husband John of Webster and Christine Taylor and her husband Robert of Cherry Valley; two brothers, John Reynolds of Rochdale and Leonard Reynolds of Webster; nine grandsons, four granddaughters, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  Mary is predeceased by two brothers, Raymond and James Reynolds and a sister, Helen McQueen.

Services for Mary will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church, 489 Pleasant St, Leicester.  Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 24th from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.
