Mary Ann (Luksha) Tillson, age 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Born in Holden, the daughter of N. Michael and Mary Ann (Lis) Luksha, Mary lived over 88 years in Sterling before recently moving to Swanzey, NH.

She went to Girls Trade in Worcester and went on to be a school bus driver and special needs driver for Robert F. Lowe Transportation in Sterling.

In 1978, she married the love of her life, Homer Tillson her “Crazy Coyote”.

As many knew, Mary loved to shop and was known to buy three to four of the same item if she really liked it. Up until recently, she would drive all over New England just to get the one item she needed. Distance didn’t matter. Mary lived life on her own terms. She especially liked to collect anything to do with owls. She was very patriotic and extremely proud of her five brothers who all fought bravely in World War II.

She will be greatly missed by her three sons, Clyde M. Anderson, Jr. and his wife, Sandra of Spencer, Richard J. Anderson of Swanzey, NH, and Lyndon P. Anderson and his wife Makara of Swanzey, NH; one daughter, Charlene M. Anderson of Swanzey, NH who was her contstant companion, always riding “shotgun”on their adventures. She also leaves seven grandchildren, Kimberly, Michael, Paul, Jessica, Mark, Brianna, Nikolas and Kara: several great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, nieces and nephews. Mary also leaves her sister-in-law and childhood friend, Beverly Luksha of Jacksonville, FL.

She is predeceased by her husband, Homer Tillson, and six brothers, Michael, Zigmund, Stanley, Francis, Joseph and John Luksha.

At her request, a private funeral service for immediate family will be held. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 22324, New York, NY 10087. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling.
