Marlene Alena Blair(Farmer), affectionately known as MAR, was born on June 18, 1955, in Holyoke, Massachusetts. She was a loving, caring, honest, strict, hardworking, passionate survivor, teacher, and mother who touched the lives of many.
Marlene dedicated herself to raising her 5 children,familyandwork. She attended Holyoke Community College. She went on to build an impressive legacy as the owner and operator of Team Concrete. Her proudest accomplishments included meeting her significant other of almost 30 years.Tom Faler, with whom she built their camp cottage into loving warm beautiful home. Filled with love and cherished memories. Together they embraced life alongside their children and grandchildren. Family.
Tragically, Marlene passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024, at her home in Rutland, Massachusetts, She succumbed to complications related to pancreatic cancer surrounded by her daughter Laura and loved ones.
Marlene will always be remembered for the love she poured into her family. She is survived by her sons Steven Adkins (and partner Gerry), James Paul Adkins (and Becki Anderson), Christopher Adkins; Daughters mary Adkins Laura Adkins (Aucoin) (and husband Frank H Aucoin), 4 stepchildren Ann Marie Faler Rampino, Eric Faler, Tony and Matt Faler; grandchildren Ann Marie Aucoin, Heaven Aucoin, Lucas Marra, Tommy Aucoin, Brendan Fuller, Isabella Fuller, Jake Andries, kaleb Adkins,Lexi Adkins,Samantha(sammi)Adkins,jonathanAdkins,Bentli Adkins; and great-grandchild Soleigh Fuller
She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Cook; father Raymond Farmer; stepfather James Burk; brothers Pete Farmer and Raymond Farmer; sister Judith Pouliot; grandson James Adkins; and grandson Frankie Taylor.
Among those mourning Marlene’s loss are surviving family members including brothers James Burk (and wife Lyla Burk), Michael Burk (and wife Michelle Burk), Mark Farmer; son Christopher Adkins; daughter Laura Adkins (Aucoin) (husband Frank H Aucoin); and a host of further family and friends who were touched by her kindness.
Marlene’s memory will live on through the countless lives she influenced with her warmth and strength. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her love will live on. In each and every one of us.
May she rest in her eternal peace.
