Subscription Update Obituary

Staff Sgt. Mark A. Carrico, 24, stationed at Eglin Air Force Base, Navarre, Florida, formerly of Webster, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 21, 2022. His grandfather, George LeBeau passed away the following day.

Mark is survived by his mother, Charlene LeBeau of Webster; his father, Steven Carrico, Sr. of South Carolina; two brothers, Randy LeBeau of Webster and Steven Carrico, Jr. and his wife Breanne Savage of Methuen; two sisters, Cheryl LeBeau of Webster, and Gina Carrico and her fiancé P.J. Shaw of Douglas; maternal grandmother, Linda Daley of Worcester; Godfather and uncle, Richard Carrico of Worcester; two nephews, Logan Shaw and Caden Carrico; an aunt, Brooke Scott of Worcester; many other family members and dear friends. Mark was born in Worcester and graduated from Bay Path Regional High School, where he studied welding and culinary arts.

Mark joined the United States Air Force and proudly wore the uniform for his beloved country. He was an AC-130J Weapon Load Crew Chief, serving at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. Mark was dedicated to bettering himself at the gym, body building and eating healthy. He loved to be with family and friends and will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Calling Hours for Mark will be on Thursday, June 2, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral Service will be on Friday, June 3, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Headstrong Project, creating a brighter tomorrow for veterans and their families.
