Marianne (Schueler) Fleming, 90, passed peacefully away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, surrounded by family after a brief illness. Marianne leaves behind her daughter, Kelly A. Fleming; son, Sean J. Fleming and his wife, Paula; two granddaughters, Katie and Erin Fleming; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, William T. Fleming as well as her brother and sister.

Marianne was born In Germany coming to Worcester after World War Two where she set about building a new life in a country she came to love. Working numerous jobs, Marianne eventually married William where her focus was on raising her family. Always a devoted wife and mother, Marianne loved spending time with her children no matter what the activity. When time allowed, Marianne worked part-time in the banking industry, and for numerous non-profit organizations raising money for those in need. She found joy in many things including reading, crossword puzzles, spending time with friends old and new, or just a relaxing afternoon watching TV in her home of many years. Later in life, Marianne especially loved trips with her daughter to places near and far.

Marianne’s relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A memorial service honoring and celebrating her life will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richard’s Avenue, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
