Marguerite M. (Stewart) Bacon, 96, passed away at home with loved ones by her side on October 21, 2024.She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Roger D. Bacon, her parents, Clarence and Albertus Stewart, and her brothers Wilfred, Calvin and Dougie.

Marguerite leaves her sister, Phyllis;  4 children Peggy, Steven and his wife Ruby, Stewart and his wife Pat, and Linda and her husband Kirk;  11 grandchildren Matthew, Sarah, Michelle, Jenny, Jeff, Heather, Brad, Tyler, Andria, and Eva Rose; 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

For many years, she worked in various offices. However, her longest occupation was that of a farmer’s wife. While her husband often traveled for work, Marguerite raised four children and managed ROMA View Farm. The children and tending to the gardens kept her busy. For leisure, she loved candlepin bowling and was on teams for nearly 40 years. In her earned spare time, she excelled at crocheting. Baby blankets, throws, dishtowels, and other various gifts were made with love for family and the church fairs. Singing in the church choir or to herself bestowed her with happiness. So much so that she was even known to do it in her sleep!

After the passing of her husband and life progressed, she experienced live music, new adventures, and joined the senior center. There, she played bingo and made friends while her new-found sassiness kept people laughing and on their toes. She had decided life was enjoyable, especially when the day ended with a hot fudge sundae.

Friends and family are invited to attend a calling hour on Friday, November 1,2024 from 10-11:00AM in Pillsbury Funeral Home 3 West Brookfield Rd Brookfield. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
