Lucien P. Pratt, “28”, of Longs, SC, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, at Hock Family Pavilion Hospice, Durham, NC, after a hard-fought battle with cancer, with his fiancé, Margee, by his side.

Lou was born in Worcester on August 27, 1947, to the late Leonidas Pratt and Rollande (Kelly) Pratt. He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade and Cerritos College, Norwalk CA, where he earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice.

Lou enlisted in the US Navy in 1965 and proudly served in Viet Nam as a boatswain mate on the USS Benner until 1968. It was during his time in the Navy, while stationed in Long Beach, CA, that he met his wife of 36 years, Karen. Together they raised three children, Jeannie Michelson (Keith), Timothy Pratt (Jen), and Robert Pratt (Renee). They were proud of their grandchildren, Eric Michelson, Colton Pratt and Melanie Pratt.

He spent his early career working in security, including running his own business, Retail Security Services. He started “TCB Karaoke with Elvis” and worked with his wife, Karen, as a DJ in various clubs in Massachusetts, entertaining and encouraging singers of all levels. He later accepted a position with Homeland Security as a TSA Agent, where he was able to travel and work in numerous locations including Hawaii, Alaska, Wyoming, and Florida.

Lou was an active member and supporter of several military organizations including the American Legion Post #186 and the VFW Post #10804.

Whether you knew him as Lou, Butch or Uncle Elvis, once you met him, you couldn’t forget him. He was born to entertain and discovered and honed his talents for impersonating Elvis.

Lou retired to South Carolina where he met and proposed to Margaret “Margee” Levine. Lou and Margee worked together hosting The Country’s Best Trivia at various locations in SC where they befriended countless trivia enthusiasts that were loyal to their shows.

In addition to his fiancé, children and grandchildren, Lou is survived by his siblings, Shirley Bernier (Francis), Jeannie Eaton, Leonidas Pratt, Jr., Carol Gallant, Doris Barton (Jim) and Melinda Feeney (Brendon). He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as his adopted cat, Gypsy Girl.

In addition to his wife, Karen, Lou is predeceased by his brothers-in-law, James Eaton and Paul Gallant, and his sister-in-law, Gladys Pratt.

The family would like to recognize the compassionate care Lou received from Jimmy and Angie at Coastal Cancer and from Dr. Isernia from Carolina Health Specialists. The family would also like to recognize the extraordinary support received from John, Kelly, Steve and Vicki during Lou’s illness.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at the Cherry Valley American Legion Post #443, 167 Main Street, Cherry Valley, MA 01611 at 2PM on Sunday, January 26, 2025.
