Subscription Update Obituary

Lloyd D. Hughes, 86, of 8B Howe Village, died Tuesday, May 15 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 61 years, Anna Maria (Hajdukiewicz) Hughes; a son, Thomas L. Hughes of Poland; a daughter, Janine Hughes Goldberg and her husband Gary Goldberg of Paxton; a brother, Robert Hughes and his wife Loretta of FL.; a granddaughter, Julie Goldberg of Paxton; his sister-in-law, Barbara Holub of Vienna, Austria; nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hughes was a facility engineer for Paul Revere Insurance Co. in Worcester where he worked for 18 years, retiring in 1985. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who had many friends. Born in Poultney, VT., he was the son of David H. and Mywanfy (Hughes) Hughes.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 18 at 10 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will precede the service on Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Richard Sugden Library, 9 Pleasant St., or Spencer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 147, Spencer, 01562.
