Lise Ann (Dube) Soltys, 54, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 22, 2021, in her home with her loving family by her side.
Lise was born on February 5, 1967, in Worcester and grew up in Spencer. She leaves behind her father, Paul G. Dube and his wife Lorraine of Bluffton, SC; her mother, Turid F. Wax of Sanford, ME. She also leaves behind her soul mate and beloved husband of 16 years, John M. Soltys of Dudley, where they shared their home; three most precious children, Amanda J. Reid and her partner Miguel Alvarez of Biddeford, ME, Jarred W. Reid and his wife Rachel of Dudley, and Lindsay M. Ferreira of Dudley; as well as four most adored grandchildren, Michael and Jonathan Alvarez of Biddeford, ME, and Hunter and Brooke Reid of Dudley. She is also survived by three brothers; Eric, Marc, and Paul Dube; a niece, several aunts, uncles, and cousins of Bodo, Norway; her uncle Bernard P. Dube of Spencer; her aunt, Sister Therese Dube of Holyoke. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Ernst and Astrid Frantzen of Bodo, Norway; and her paternal grandparents; George A. Dube of Saint Augustine and Dorothy Dube of Spencer; and her Godmother, Rita Ouellette of Spencer. She also leaves behind her best friend, Rebecca Day of Webster.
Lise graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer in 1985, Becker Junior College in Leicester in 1987, and Becker College in Worcester in 1994, fulfilling her dream of becoming a registered nurse. She enjoyed a 23 year nursing career at various health care facilities prior to working at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, where she ended her career due to illness.
She enjoyed working with many compassionate healthcare workers, some with whom she went on to have a lasting friendship. She loved working in her gardens and arranging flowers. She would be found in her pool on warm sunny days with her children and grandchildren, and growing vegetables in her garden.
She adored her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world. Time spent with them meant everything to her – the love, smiles, laughter and fun they shared was her life. She enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening, reading and taking photos of her family.
Her funeral will held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road, Dudley.
