We are sad to announce that on May 21, 2022, Lawrence H. “Larry” Brunelle, at the age of 85, passed away unexpectedly at UMass Memorial Healthcare – University Campus, Worcester.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Jean N. (Jarzinski) Brunelle; his daughters, Joanne Stevens and her husband, Edward of Rutland and Nancy Brunelle of Rutland; his grandchildren, Ashley, Kyle, and Kelly; his great-grandchild, Peyton; five brothers, Paul, Elliot, Stephen, Francis, and Chester Brunelle; five sisters, Muriel Johnson, Janis Morin, Blossom Laverdure, Beulah Benoit, and Doris Miller; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Shirley Rawson, Evelyn Bray, June LaMalva, and Joyce Foley and his brother, Gary Brunelle.

Larry was a machinist for many years at several local companies before retiring from Presmet Corp in Worcester. He loved being outdoors working in the yard and kept himself busy as the “handyman” whether it was mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry. Larry always had his arms open to anyone who needed help and rarely asked for help himself. He always lit up the room, leaving people laughing and smiling. Larry was set in his ways but had a big heart. He enjoyed spending family time with his children and grandchildren and sharing stories.

We will miss him and will cherish his memories of his sense of humor and incredible strength that he has shown to everyone who crossed paths with him in his life.

Funeral services are private and under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
