Subscription Update Obituary

     Laura C. Riley, 57, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in Rose Monahan Hospice Home after a long illness. She leaves her mother, Gloria Riley of Worcester, sister Myrna Varteresian and her husband Eddie Varteresian of Worcester, sister Rev. Joyce Gambon of Roanoke, Virginia as well as three brothers Mark Riley of Bakersville, North Carolina, Matthew Riley and his wife Patricia Riley of Tariffville CT and Stephen Riley of Northborough and his fiancé Kimberly Morris. Laura also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her father Fontaine Riley.

Laura was born in Marlboro, daughter of Fontaine and Gloria Riley. She graduated from Burncoat High School and worked for many years as a payroll and accounting professional for the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. She was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding and attending motorcycle related events. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. Burial will be private and at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Laura’s memory may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.
