Subscription Update Obituary

On May 7, 2024, LaDonna R. (Evans) Ampadu, aged 57, transitioned at UMass Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband Samuel Ampadu, her two daughters Anika R. Ampadu of Houston, TX, and Samantha Ampadu of New Orleans, LA. LaDonna is also remembered by her mother Ola (Adams) Evans, her sister Sheila L. Dejarnette of Worcester, her brother Robert L. Evans III of Worcester as well as several nephews and her niece. She was welcomed in heaven by her father Robert L. Evans II, brother Lance Evans Sr., and her beloved dog Raider.

LaDonna was a Worcester native and a graduate of Doherty High School. She held the role of lead training coordinator at United Airlines and was a member of New Praise Cathedral Worship Center. LaDonna found joy in traveling, reading, spending quality time with her family, and serving as a foster mother for many years. She was deeply cherished by her family as well as many friends and members of her community.

A visitation in memory of LaDonna will take place on Friday, May 17th from 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Peter Church on 931 Main Street in Worcester followed by a service at 11:00 AM. The burial will follow the service at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Callahan, Fay & Caswell located at 61 Myrtle Street in Worcester.
