Subscription Update Obituary

     Kenneth M. Carrigan, 83, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018 at home.

He leaves his wife of 56 years, Julie M. (Reardon) Carrigan; a son-in-law, Larry Espinosa of Columbia, Tenn., three grandchildren, Angela Espinosa of Hackettstown, N.J., Christopher Espinosa of Columbia, and U.S. Army Sgt. Anthony Espinosa of Fort Bragg, N.C., and many nieces and nephews.

His daughter Teresa M. Espinosa of Columbia, Tenn., died Oct. 25, 2017. He was also predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Robert and Donald Carrigan, and two sisters, Ruth Anderson and Barbara Ewig.

Kenneth was born in Worcester, son of Christopher J. and Ida (Johnson) Carrigan, and lived in Worcester all his life.

Kenneth was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade High School and served in the U.S. Army.

He was a wire drawer at Johnson Steel & Wire Co. for many years. He later worked for the Jamesbury Co.

Kenneth was a member of Sacred Heart-Saint Catherine of Sweden Parish and the English Social Club.

He was a sports fan and enjoyed playing pool.

Calling hours are Sunday, Sept. 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral will be Monday, Sept. 10, from the funeral home with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 600 Cambridge St., Worcester. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park will be private.
