Judith A. (Lanciault) Shea, 68, of Auburn, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, the 24th of November, while surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, John F. Shea, her adoring son, Paul A. Irish and his wife, Ann (Trainor) of Millbury, and her loving daughter and friend, Kathleen M. Irish of Auburn. Judy was the doting grandmother to her most beloved and much adored granddaughter, Hannah Louise Irish of Millbury.

Judy is predeceased by her parents, Leon H. Lanciault (1973) and Barbara A. (Baxter) Lanciault (1983), and was a vibrant, funny, cheerful, quick witted and integral member of the Baxter-Lanciault clan. She was the second of eight children and leaves behind her loving sisters and brothers, Donna (Lanciault) Alger of Auburn, Virginia (Lanciault) and her husband, David Glanville of North Brookfield, James Lanciault and his wife, Laurie (Johnson) of Auburn, David Lanciault and his wife, Kathy (Rousseau) of Plano, TX, Gerry Lanciault and his wife, Lynette of Worcester, Robert Lanciault and his wife, Val (Draud) of Fredericksburg, VA, Steven Lanciault and his wife, Erika (Sanchez) of San Antonio, TX, her very special Aunt Agnes (Baxter) Ronayne of Worcester, and many very special nieces, nephews and cousins.

Judy was born and raised in Worcester, growing up in the city’s Main South neighborhoods, and graduating from South High School in 1964. She relocated with her family to the neighboring town of Auburn in the late ‘1960’s, and was an extremely hard working mother of two. Her family was the center of her world. She enjoyed working many years in Worcester, but especially enjoyed the many years she was a member of the VisiMark Inc. family, where she was an Executive Assistant.

She greatly enjoyed music, completing puzzles and crossword puzzles (in pen!), drawing, and painting and often shared her art as gifts to family and friends. She loved flowers and animals of all shapes and sizes but especially adored her Boxer babies, Morgan, Bella and Lili. Some of her favorite times and memories were of times exploring on long rides and her times by the sea with her family. She was always at greatest peace while sitting in the sand by the ocean, listening to the surf and taking long walks on the beaches of Maine and Aruba.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the UMMF Colorectal Cancer Fund, c/o UMass Memorial Colorectal Surgery Center, 67 Belmont St., Suite 201, Worcester, MA 01605.

Calling hours will be on Monday, December 1, 2014 from 4-7 PM at the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St. in Auburn, and again Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM prior to leaving in procession to St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford St North, Auburn, where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at the Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
