Subscription Update Obituary

Joseph L. Quattrucci, 80, of 168 So. Pond Rd., died Tuesday, Feb. 20 at home.

He leaves his wife of 30 years, Shirley J. (LaPrade) Quattrucci; two step daughters, Carol Cornacchioli of Southbridge and Linda Beardsley and her husband Auburn of Spencer; two brothers, Paul Quattrucci of Newport, R.I., and William Quattrucci of Worcester; a sister, Joan Kielinen of Oxford; four step grandchildren, Angela Snell of Shrewsbury, Lauren and Brandon Beardsley of Spencer and Ann Marie Wall of Shrewsbury; six step great grandchildren, Joshua, Jared, Diana, Russell, Ariana and Annika; several nieces and nephews.

Joseph was a purchasing agent and human resource manager for Lundquist Tool & Die Co. in Worcester before retiring in 1988. He later worked for many years as a Real Estate Broker for Toomey-Lovett Real Estate in Spencer where he also was a real estate license instructor. At onetime he worked as purchasing agent for Independent Lock Co. in Fitchburg.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of Eleuterio and Assunta (Razzini) Quattrucci. He graduated from North High School and Ward Business School both in Worcester. He was a Navy veteran of WWII serving on the USS Boxer in the Pacific. He was a member of the Board of Directors and Big Brother Associate for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Assoc. of America. He was a religious instructor, R.C.I.A. Sponsor, Parish Council Member, Eucharistic Minister, Annual Bazaar Volunteer and longtime member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish. He was a volunteer Santa Claus for the Town of Northboro, Parson's Hill Nursing Home in Worcester, Lake St. and Maple St. Schools, Toys for Tots program all in Spencer. Joe, was an avid gardener and chocolate lover.

The funeral will be held on Friday, Feb. 23 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton with Military Honors. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Feb. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mary,Queen of the Rosary Memorial Fund, 60 Maple St., Spencer, 01562.
