Subscription Update Obituary

     Joseph “Joey” E. Grasseschi, 21, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 after a long battle with addiction. Born in Worcester and raised in Rutland, Joey was a son of Michael A. Grasseschi, Jr., of Holden and Denise A. (Rawson) Grasseschi of Rutland.

Joey was a wonderful young man who will be deeply missed by all who came in contact with him. He had an infectious personality and a smile that lit up the room. He loved giving hugs to everyone he loved. He loved fishing, warm weather, going on vacations with his family, movies, music and South Park. He attended Wachusett Regional High School and played baseball for Rutland Youth Baseball.

He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his parents, Michael and Denise Grasseschi; his two brothers, Dominic and Zachary; paternal grandparents, Michael and Doris Grasseschi; maternal grandmother, Shirley Rawson; his niece, Briella Grasseschi, who was the love of his life; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Joey’s family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 17 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 18 at St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Learn to Cope, 4 Court Street, Suite 110, Taunton, MA 02780.
