Subscription Update Obituary

   Joseph A. Harris, 73, of 49 1/2 Ellsworth St. died Thursday night in City Hospital.

   Mr. Harris was a scaler for Quality Fish Co. on Cambridge Street for 40 years.

   He leaves his wife, Shirley M. (Henson) Harris; three sons, Robert R., Francis J. and Roy D. Harris, all of Worcester; four daughters, Elizabeth E., wife of Louis S. Gonyou, Geraldine C., wife of Albert A. Beeso, and Jane C. Harris, all of Worcester, and Susan E., wife of Gerard A. Audette of Leicester; a brother Henry Harris of Burlington Vt.; 33 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

   He was born in Schenectady, N.Y., son of Charles and Minerva (Bruce) Harris, and lived here 55 years.

   The funeral will be held tomorrow from Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., with a Mass at 9 a.m. in St. John’s Church, 40 Temple St.  Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
