John Stanley Robecki passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018, with his loving wife, Susan by his side. John was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 6, 1947, the only child of Stanley J. Robecki and Frances Opatka Robecki. The family relocated to South Grafton, MA when John was five years old so he could attend schools there. He was a member of the Grafton High School Class of 1965. John married Susan Turner of Shrewsbury on November 1, 1969, and she has remained his devoted wife for 49 years. John spent his career working as a systems analyst and took great pride in his knowledge of main frame computers, having last worked at C & S Wholesale Grocers in Keene, NH. For over 30 years, John and Susan traveled the East Coast in their Winnebago. They were members of the Winnebago International Travelers and the Family Motor Coach Association as well as active members of various Winnebago travel clubs in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, where they made many friends. Being true lovers of English Springer Spaniels, John and Susan were ecstatic to have had the opportunity to share their home with eight such furry companions over four decades. John will be sorely missed by his most recent spaniel, Molly, who was his constant companion in retirement. Friends and family are invited to call at the Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester Street, North Grafton from 10am-12pm on Saturday, November 3, 2018 followed by a prayer service at 12pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of John to support cancer research and patient care at P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
