Subscription Update Obituary

     Mr. John R. Pariseau, 86, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020, in his home surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce F. (Deveau) Pariseau, who passed away in 2005.

Mr. Pariseau was born in Webster, son of the late Hector J. and Marion A. (Lavin) Pariseau, and lived all of his life in Oxford. He is survived by his beloved children, Alden J. Butler and his wife Brenda of Ridgeville, South Carolina, Trevor J. Pariseau of Oxford, Melissa A. Madura and her husband James of Oxford, and Leroy R. Pariseau of Oxford; his grandchildren, Brigit Butler, Diana Butler, Leena Pariseau and Leo John Pariseau; one brother, Robert Pariseau of Merritt Island, Florida, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Edward Pariseau and sister, Ruth Neal.

Mr. Pariseau graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School in 1952. He was a machinist at B & W Footwear in Webster for over forty years. He also worked at Wal-Mart after retiring. He was a veteran of the Massachusetts Army National Guard. He was involved with the Town of Oxford Historical Commission and was active in the Oxford Little League in his younger days. Mr. Pariseau enjoyed collecting Town of Oxford memorabilia, as well as collecting coins.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial with military honors will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2020, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
