Joan Ann (Morin) Picard Hamilton, 80, went on to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 17, 2020 with her loving family around her.
Born August 2, 1940 in South Grafton, MA, Joan was the daughter of the late Omer and Florence (Beauchesne) Morin. She graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade School for girls in Worcester, MA. She married Francis E. Picard and John J. Hamilton, Sr., who both predeceased her. She also was predeceased by her two amazing sisters Barbara Gagliardi and Nancy Consiglio and by son Scott Picard in 2000, and by infant son Joseph Picard in 1966.
Joan is survived by her cherished family- son Kevin Picard and his loving wife Sherry and their children Shauna, Veronica and Aaron all of Webster; Peter Picard of Worcester; daughter Arlene Bourque and her daughter Rebecca and her children, Kody, Roy, and Kaylee; daughter Wendy Rourke and her husband Paul and their son Jamie Picard and his partner Jasmine, their children Isaiah, Jeremiah, Jasiah, Janasia, Deziariah, Rosalie, Xayleiana and Kaylani all of Worcester; and a daughter Joyce LaFratta and her children Daniel and Alexandria (Lexi) all of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews.
Joan was a faithful member of the Living Word Church of Worcester (formerly First Assembly of God Church) for over 40 years. She served the Lord in so many ways. Her most enjoyable time was spent with her family together with grandchildren and great grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest.
Joan’s family would like to invite family and friends to help celebrate a new beginning on Friday, October 23, 2020 at the Living Word Church of Worcester (formerly First Assembly of God Church) 30 Tyler Prentice Rd. Worcester, MA. The calling hour will be held from 5-6 p.m. followed by the funeral service from 6-7 p.m. at the church. Burial will be after cremation at the family’s convenience.
